17th February 2011 – Akira @ The Silver Bullet

Light up the Dark

Offering excellent live music from four amazing acts, great value drinks and the finest sound from this stunning north London venue.

Akira Records Presents:

Australian band MOVE started organically when Jordan, Kane and the twins Andy and Tom formed a beachside HQ in a run down apartment doomed for demolition. They went on to play shows all around Australia. After relocating to NYC for the better half of 2009, MOVE have now based themselves out of London where they have begun recording their debut EP due out early this year.

Labelled “A supergroup!” by Xfm, IN TV are a brand new band of experienced musicians from south west London that combines blasting beats and shiveringly cool riffs with unadulterated, evil groove and anthemic choruses!

The Franklys are an all-female rock band based in London but drawn from around the world; Jennifer and Fanny came all the way from Sweden to meet up with the Brazilian Renata in London in early 2010 and later on found bassist Zoë. Nothing like a rock and roll city to put together four music lovers that were looking for a bright future in what has blossomed into an exciting new band.

Hailing from Manchester, The Underclass burst onto the scene a few years back, offering their own kind of new wave powerpop, bursting with catchy energy and presented with a breezy indie outlook. With songs that are wonderfully simple and contagious, these guys have been tipped for big things.
