Akira’s Shortlist – The Best of 2013

It’s come to that time of year again to compile a Best of the year list. This is Akira’s Best of 2013, an alternative version to most blogs, you’ll notice there’s no Daft Punk or Disclosure… Why? Because I find ‘Get Lucky’ and ‘White Noise’ annoying. All of these tracks, whilst they may not have been written or even shared on the internet in 2013, they were importantly released in 2013. It’s been a great year for music and I feel privileged that I personally have worked with some of the artists on this list.

2013 has been a weird year, and I will remember it for many reasons. All of these songs were with me along the way and had a big impact on me in one way or another. I hope you share my sentiments, or have come across some songs you may never have heard before. In no particular order…
