Phew, what a year. Who’s getting the Jägers in? It’s been bittersweet for us, a great year for Akira Records and the label, it’s just a shame the rest of the world is falling apart and that humanity is on the edge of oblivion. I guess all we can do as individuals is all try to be better people, and bring up our children to be better people. One of the first things to get right in the quest to be a better person is to educate yourself, and listen more to those sensible people around you, oh and make sure you’re listening to good music – sorry Olly Murs that counts you out… Where do I find good music I hear you cry? Luckily I’m here, and I have cracking taste. So without further ado it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the playlist that beats all playlists, Akira’s Best of 2016. Again I’ve decided to be unbiased this year and not include any artists or songs that have been released by Akira, it’s because I’ve included them all here in the Releases: Best of 2016. Hope you enjoy, best wishes for humanity and planet earth in 2017.
