SAM SMITH – Nirvana (Until The Ribbon Breaks Re-Imagination)

I like to re-imagine things sometimes, like I watched Pearl Harbour for the first time last week on tele, and after I’d watched it I re-imagined that I’d spent those three hours doing something exciting and interesting rather than lying on my couch thinking “jeez this film is shit, but now I’ve started it I have to watch it until the end…” I re-imagined many different scenarios in the film, some of them I was a pilot doing aerobatics, some of them I was a pig flying in the sky next to the Japanese planes and so on… The point of this long and unfulfilling story is that when I re-imagine things they’re never as good as when Until The Ribbon Breaks re-imagines things. For instance if I was to re-imagine Sam Smith’s ‘Nirvana’, check out the beautiful acoustic session below, there would probably be pigs flying in the room, and I’d turn up wearing a pilot’s uniform and sprawl myself across the piano like Lady Gaga, and nobody wants that… Thank god for Until The Ribbon Breaks and his imagination.
